Students are invited to apply for ACM Merit Scholarships and ACM Academic Interest Scholarships through the financial aid section of the Common App. Applicants may indicate which scholarship opportunities they would like to be considered for as part of their application.
To apply for financial aid, please complete your Common App application and answer the financial aid-related questions. If you do not yet have a Common App account, you may register here.
Students must be enrolled full-time to qualify for scholarships and grants. Scholarships and grants are renewable with continued full-time enrollment and a maintained cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Student Fellowship
This highly selective fellowship covers full tuition and housing costs and is awarded to undergraduate students based on academic merit, background, and overall promise. Priority consideration may be given to students who have been traditionally underrepresented in study abroad degree programs, including first-generation college students, students from low-income families, students who have served in the military, and students with a history of overcoming adversity.
Students must apply for the fellowship when submitting their financial aid form. Applications are reviewed holistically by the scholarship committee, which determines eligibility and award selection.
Students are responsible for Student Life fees. Fellowship recipients are required to live in program housing and participate in approved campus support activities for up to 10 hours per week.
Presidential Scholarship
This very selective scholarship, which covers full tuition costs, is awarded to first year undergraduate students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance, work experience, course rigor and outstanding out-of-classroom and co-curricular involvement and leadership. Recipients are selected based on the application for admission and reviewed by ACM’s Scholarship committee. The President’s Scholarship covers tuition only. Students are responsible for paying for Student Life fees and housing. Recipients are required to live in program housing for the first academic year.
Provost Scholarship
Up to $10,000
Awarded to students with a minimum GPA of 3.5 and consistent academic and extracurricular achievement; the Provost’s Scholarship awards up to $10,000 per academic year.
Dean's Scholarship
Up to $5,000
Awarded to students with consistent outstanding academic achievement. Students applying for this scholarship must have a 3.3 GPA or higher, and participate in an ACM program during Fall, Spring, or Summer terms. Letter of Recommendation Required.

The Board of Directors Scholarship
Up to $4,000
Funds from this scholarship are used to attract outstanding students from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in international education, including first-generation college students, students who have served in the military, and students with a history of overcoming adversity.
James Baldwin Scholarship
Up to $2,000
The James Baldwin Scholarship recognizes an ACM degree student who has demonstrated superior academic achievement, extracurricular leadership, community service, and involvement with the African American community and African American issues and will continue to do so during their studies abroad. he scholarship may be renewable for up to four years for undergraduate students or 1-2 years for graduate students (dependent on length of program), contingent on maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0, continued enrollment, and active participation in community or cultural initiatives.
Marianne Keler Award
Thanks to the support of the Sallie Mae Fund, a donation was made to ACM in recognition of Marianne Keler, a current ACM board member and former chair of the board. To be eligible for this award, degree program applicants must demonstrate financial hardship along with unique characteristics that will enrich the degree program student body.
The Stephen K. Mittelstet Transfer Scholarship
Up to $4,000
This scholarship will serve to support community college students who transfer to The American College of the Mediterranean to complete their bachelor’s degree abroad. Established in 2021 in memory of Dr. Stephen K. Mittelstet by his daughters, Mary Amelia Sample and Amanda Claire Stuber, this scholarship furthers their father’s mission to provide a global, diverse, and inclusive education to community college students. Dr. Mittelstet served as President of Richland College of the Dallas County Community College District from 1979-2010. The scholarship may be renewable for up to three years for undergraduate students, contingent on maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0, continued enrollment, and active participation in community or cultural initiatives.
TAPIF Scholarship
Up to $7,500
ACM encourages qualified former Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF) participants to continue their time in France by pursuing a master’s degree at ACM. Application fees are waived when this scholarship is approved.
GRANTS
Grants are awarded automatically based on the criteria listed below; no additional application materials are required. Students should contact their admissions advisor at admissions@acmfrance.org to confirm grant eligibility.
Alumni Grants
Alumni Grants
The American College of the Mediterranean welcomes and encourages alumni of ACM and the Institute for American Universities (IAU), ACM’s study abroad institute, to return for further study. Alumni who enroll in an ACM program are eligible for a $10,000 grant, divided over semesters. This grant is awarded for the first year of the program only.
Need-Based Institutional Grants
Need-Based Institutional Grants
Need-based institutional grants are considered for students who demonstrate high financial need and/or financial distress.
