As a required part of certain graduate programs at ACM and also available as a course to ACM-IAU undergraduate students, ACM provides access to unpaid, for-credit internships at local businesses, associations, and organizations. ACM’s internship team is constantly in touch with local enterprises to expand the current internship offerings.
Graduate Programs
Graduate students are encouraged to work with their program director to find internships in and out of Aix-en-Provence that align with their career goals and individual interests. Most of these opportunities are on average 120 hours of work and awarded 3 credits upon completion.
Most of our graduate programs include a practicum, internship, or fieldwork component. Please refer to the specific graduate program page for more information about what is required for each program.
Undergraduate Programs
Undergraduate students work in internships within the Aix-Marseille area, and participate in an internship course to share experiences with other students and help develop a career portfolio, maximizing employability at the end of the program. This course meets several times during the semester, and students also have one-on-one meetings with their professor. Students are tasked with a final semester project of their choosing, culminating a final presentation and report to the class.

Semester Internship Structure
- 12-15 hours (at least 2 full days) per week at internship placement, and 2 hours per week of seminar course
- Earn 3 credits
8-Week Summer Internship Structure
- Part-time: 20-22 hours per week at internship placement and earn 3 credits
- Full-time: 35 hours per week at internship placement and earn 6 credits
