To be considered for admission to ACM, applicants must have (or will have earned by the time of enrollment) a post-secondary diploma. A phone or virtual meeting with an ACM admissions team member will be required to gather additional information from applicants.
Graduate ACM candidates submit their applications through our application portal. Once an application is submitted, an ACM Admissions team member will reach out to the applicant to schedule a brief online meeting to gather more information and to answer any questions about the ACM or the application process.

*Priority Decision applicants receive priority financial aid consideration. There is no obligation to commit to ACM if applying to this review round.
**Applicants applying after the Regular Decision deadline will be required to submit their enrollment deposit in a shorter timeframe and must expedite their French Student visa. We accept EU/Dual-Citizenship and Military passport holders until July 1st.
TRANSCRIPTS
Students will be required to provide an official transcript electronically to admissions@acmfrance.org if not submitted during the application. Students may also mail a hard copy to the address listed below. Students may provide an unofficial transcript during their application which ACM will use to review their application, however, acceptance is conditional upon receiving the official hard or electronic copy. If the student is currently enrolled in a high school or secondary institution, ACM requires that the student send a final official transcript after they graduate with completed courses and graduation date listed.
Degrees Earned Outside of the United States:
Students who earned a degree from an institution outside the United States may be required to submit an official course-by-course transcript evaluation (also called a foreign credential evaluation) as part of their application. Students can choose to submit a course-by-course evaluation from one of the following evaluation services.

PERSONAL STATEMENT
Durng the online application, students will be required to submit a personal statement in response to the following prompt:
Describe why you are applying to this specific graduate program at ACM. Describe your interest in this field and your motivation in continuing your education at ACM. Please also include what you hope to gain through graduate study and any career goals you may have.
Note: Master of Arts in French Studies applicants are required to submit a personal statement in French.
CURRICULUM VITAE (C.V.)/RESUME
To gain a broader sense of the applicant’s experiences and interests, ACM requires a C.V. or resume of (at least) the past five years of university and/or employment history; community, professional, and/or university extracurricular activities; and recognitions and achievements.
LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
Letters of Recommendation may be submitted during the application or sent by email to admissions@acmfrance.org. These recommendations can be completed by a teacher, professor, advisor, supervisor, employer, or someone who can speak to the applicant’s strengths as a student and a person. Letters must be emailed by the individual writing the recommendation if not on an official letterhead. Review applicable program-specific requirements for additional details on letters of recommendation.
PROOF OF ENGLISH PROFICIENCY
Applicants must provide proof of English level proficiency if their native language is not English, unless they have been attending an English-speaking school/university for at least 3 years.
Applicants may submit an official TOEFL score, IELTS, or Duolingo English language proficiency exam results.
- TOEFL score requirements: 85 or higher
- IELTS Academic score requirements: minimum 6.5
- Duolingo score requirements: 120 or higher
This requirement may be waived or requested by ACM’s U.S. Office of Admissions under certain circumstances.
APPLICATION FEE
The fee to apply to ACM is $85 USD for domestic and international students. The application fee is required before an application is considered complete and ready for review. The application fee is non-refundable.
*ACM does not waive application fees unless applicants are IAU alumni or former TAPIF participants.
PROGRAM-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Master of Fine Arts (MFA)
Portfolio: 20 images of recent work including a minimum of 5 drawings and 10 pieces relating to the applicant’s painting concentration.
Submitting Portfolio Files: Portfolio files must be submitted using Dropbox either during the application or directly to us at admissions@acmfrance.org. If an applicant does not already have an account, one can be created for free at www.dropbox.com. To submit these files, create a new folder named LastName.FirstName_MFAApplication and add all portfolio-related files. Images should be submitted as JPEG’s no larger than 1 MB each (approximately 1400 pixels in either direction at a resolution of 100 dpi). Please format image files: LastName.FirstName_1.jpg – LastName.FirstName_20.jpg.
Click “share” from the Dropbox menu to generate a link. Send this link to admissions@ACMFrance.org with the subject line: MFA Application Files for Lastname.FirstName.
NOTE: Dropbox preserves the time of each folder’s last modification, and after sharing the folder link with ACM, we ask that no further changes are made in the MFA Application folder.

Its purpose is to review your ability to analyze a specific topic in culture and/or history, a work of art, etc. It acts as a sample of your academic writing skills.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)
GMAT/GRE scores are not required for admittance but can be submitted at the time of application as supplementary documentation.
ENROLLMENT
A non-refundable comittment fee of $500 is due within three weeks of acceptance to secure enrollment into the program. Applicants applying on or after the regular decision deadline will be required to submit the committment fee within one week of acceptance.
Fees can be submitted via check (for U.S. Citizens only) to our U.S. Office of Admissions or through the secure credit card authorization form on our online payment portal.
