Although ACM is now accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE), it is not a federally funded Title IV institution. As a result, students are not able to receive federal financial aid, including federal student loans through FAFSA.
However, by utilizing the School of Record (SOR), eligible students may apply for private student loans to help finance their studies at ACM via the corresponding U.S.-based partner institution.
Graduate Students
The following programs have the option of applying for private student loans via ACM’s School of Record, Northern Illinois University (NIU), a public U.S. institution accredited through the Higher Learning Commission:
- Master of Arts in Art History (MAAH)
- Master of Arts in French Studies (MAFS)
- Master of Arts in International Relations (MAIR)
- Master of Fine Arts (MFA)
Students enrolled in the following programs do not have the option to apply for private student loans with NIU at this time:
- Master of Arts in Media Studies (MAMS)
- Global Master of Business Administration (GMBA)
- Master of Arts in International Education Administration (MAIE)
NIU invoices for SOR each semester/term. The NIU SOR fees are $1,225 per semester and $885 per summer term. ACM will cover half of the associated costs. The charge to the students would be as follows:
| Graduate Degree Program | Semesters Required | NIU SOR Fee | Student Cost |
| MAAH/MAFS/MAIR | 2 semesters + 1 summer | $3,335 | $1,650 |
| MFA | 4 semesters | $4,900 | $2,400 |
Please note that if a student chooses to enroll in additional terms,
a fee will apply to those terms as well. All fees are subject to change.
Students wishing to enroll in SOR through NIU must communicate this with ACM’s Office of Admissions prior to enrollment at ACM, as there is a process students must complete with both NIU and ACM. This process must be completed before the student’s program begins.
Undergraduate Students
ACM offers its undergraduate students the option of applying for private student loans via ACM’s School of Record with our partner Fairfield University.
ACM will invoice students directly in their final semester for a one-time fee of $550 for enrolling in SOR via Fairfield University.
Fees: $550 (fall/spring) and $300 (J-term and summer).
*** School of Record fees are non-refundable***
Students wishing to enroll in SOR through Fairfield must communicate this with ACM’s Office of Admissions prior to enrollment at ACM, as there is a process students must complete with both NIU and Fairfield. This process must be completed before the student’s program begins.
